48 Hour Blur

June 21st was the start of my journey. Prior to the 21st, I spent hours packing and unpacking with my parents nagging at me the whole time. They kept telling me I over packed but I still had to pay $100 at the airport because it was overweight anyways. =.= I should have packed more! Now that I am in Seoul, I realize that I do not have enough clothes! Since I am staying for a whole year with no intention of going back to the states until next June (or July or August.), I had to pack winter and summer clothing, which really means I have like 10 outfits in total because winter clothing is so damn junky! However, according to my parents, 10 outfits are enough to last a lifetime. BUT what about a night out on the town? Sporty days? Rainy days? Extremely hot and humid days? Date nights? (hopefully?) Parents just don't understand. =.="

Anyhow, I flew with Korean Air and it was really awesome. Until my personal TV thing froze. I asked them to fix it and then asked for orange juice. The male flight attendant then asked "To drink?" YES TO DRINK. WHAT DO YOU DO WITH ORANGE JUICE?

When we were about to land, I realized I booked the wrong date for the hostel. FML. BUT I swear it wasn't my fault. =.= I stayed with my travel buddy, Angel, in a tiny goshiwon. A goshiwon is not meant for sharing...its where Korean students go to lock themselves in a tiny tiny tiny room to study for tests. Its literally a kid size bed, shower head, toilet, tiny desk and one cabinet all in one room. I couldn't sleep there. It was so stuffy I woke up sweating and feeling like I was in the midst of a fever. (but false alarm! woot!)

Here is a pic from when I wasn't asleep =p (Which I took from Angel.)

All in all, it was really fun and worthwhile.^.^

First and Long Overdued Post

Whoa. I cannot believe that I have been in Seoul for nearly two weeks and just started blogging about it. To be fair, I do have a valid excuse: I lost my voice and so I have not been able to video blog as I planned. I know, it still doesn't excuse the fact that I haven't blogged. Apologies to those who waited so long!

Anyways, now that my voice has semi recovered, I am going to vlog soon and update this blog regularly. ^.^ Hopefully, I can do 2-3 posts a week on various topics such as, being a total foreigner, discovering the many unique districts of Seoul, and just rants from daily life. (As if I don't already rant enough haha)

For now, I will just work on learning to vlog and making my blog look nicer. If anyone has any tips, please let me know, it would be greatly appreciated!
